Wow.
A night after the Philadelphia Phillies smacked so many home runs against the Houston Astros in Game 3 of the 2022 World Series, the Phils produced exactly zero hits against Christian Javier, Bryan Abreau, Rafael Montero and Ryan Pressly. The Phillies got just two walks the whole night.
That’s right, there was a no-hitter in the World Series!
If you’re waking up and wondering just how rare this is, that’s what we’re here for — this doesn’t happen a lot. And the funny thing is … the Phillies were involved in this (very, very) short list TWICE!
So here you go: A look at the list of no-hitters in MLB postseason history:
1
2022 World Series, Game 4: The Astros no-hit the Phillies
A combined no-hitter, which is doubly wild!
2
2010 NLDS Game 1: Roy Halladay no-hits the Reds
Unreal performance from the late all-time great.
3
1956 World Series Game 5: Don Larsen throws a perfect game against the Dodgers
The MOST perfect of no-hitters.
