Old pubs usually have a long history of ghosts and ghouls spotted by locals over the years but some areas have more spooky pubs than others. Haunted pubs are scattered across the UK but Yorkshire took the crown as having the highest number of haunted pubs.
There’s a whopping 89 establishments in Yorkshire which are said to be haunted by various apparitions. This was followed closely by Lancashire with 77 haunted pubs and Devon cam third with 65.
The level of haunting in these establishments varies from cold spots to shadowy figures lurking in dark spaces. Ghost Chasers UK reported that the Three Nun’s Pub in Mirfield, Yorkshire, was haunted by spirits who were nuns or involved in the church.
