The Traitors has had audiences glued to their screens since its launch in the UK in 2022.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the BBC One show attracted 21 million viewers with its first series, officially becoming the channel’s biggest entertainment launch since 2021.
Its success won the show a Bafta TV Award for Best Reality & Constructed Factual, an NTA for Reality Competition, an RTS Award for Entertainment, and the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Entertainment Programme, as well as some awards for Winkleman.

How to apply for the Traitors season 3
If you think that sounds like your cup of tea, you can now put your name in the hat by applying through Studio Lambert via their application form.
Applications close on February 12.
The one question you have to ask yourself is: would you be a Faithful or a Traitor?
The season will consist of 12 hour-long episodes produced by Studio Lambert for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Talking about the announcement, the head of entertainment at the BBC, Kalpna Patel-Knight, shared: “The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series.
“Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and, of course, Claudia at the helm.
“It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors.”
Similarly, the CEO of Studio Lambert, the production house that creates the show, added: “We’re delighted a third series of The Traitors has been confirmed today ahead of the second series’ arrival on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
“The Traitors has been so warmly received by viewers, critics and award juries alike. Claudia and the team look forward to keeping audiences on the edge of their seats again with ever more thrilling missions and exceptional players competing in this gripping game of bluff and skill.”

The Traitors is a competition show shot in the Scottish Highlands that centres on cunning and strategy.
Episodes are released weekly every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 9pm. The final episode of season 2 will air on January 26.
