The Traitors 2026 Finalists Reveal What Happened At The Show’s Afterparty: ‘Pissed Off’

The Traitors' Kirby Bentley and Keira Maguire

The Traitors Australia 2026 finalists Kirby Bentley, Krissy Marsh, Keira Maguire and Rhys Nicholson have opened up about what really happened after they filmed the final episode of the reality show.

Wednesday night’s epic conclusion saw Rhys become the last player banished at the Round Table, before the remaining trio gathered around the fire for the final stage of the game. Kirby and Keira then chose to vote Krissy out, and Kirby was ultimately crowned the winner, claiming the entire $200,600 prize pool for herself.

What happened after The Traitors 2026 finale?

After becoming the first contestant eliminated from the finale, Rhys told PEDESTRIAN.TV that they were taken to a room with a producer and “put in lockdown” until the endgame played out. Once Kirby had been declared the champion, all four finalists were handed back their phones and were allowed to contact their loved ones for the first time in 13 days.

“I called my husband, and he went, ‘What happened?’, and it was just like, I can’t try to pack the last two weeks of my life into one phone call,” they recalled. “I basically just went like, ‘I didn’t win. That’s all you need to know. I’m going to call you tomorrow. I need to go and get very drunk now’.”

Despite their tense conversation earlier in the day, where Kirby admitted she only recruited them as a Traitor to turn on them later, Rhys said they shared a very sweet moment when they reunited.

“Me and Kirby gave each other a big hug, and we both looked at each other, and we were like, ‘We’re okay’,” they shared.

“I wanted to make it very clear to her that it was fine what happened and how it happened and how happy I was for her, and it was so genuine. Then we got really drunk, and I had to fly home early the next morning. I picked up a bag and, quite literally, on the same day, flew to film Drag Race.”

Kirby agreed that the afterparty was less of a post-game debrief and more of a hang out with friends where they got “a little bit too carried away”.

“The whole cast is so incredible. They’re just great humans, and we talked about it all in the last year. We’ve worked through our differences, and I think it’s the most tight-knit group of people I’ve actually been a part of,” she gushed.

Krissy admits she was ‘pissed off’ with Keira

While it was all love between Rhys and Kirby, Krissy told P.TV she was “really pissed off” with Keira as she “never in a million years” expected her to betray her in the finale.

“That really upset me, and I wasn’t crying because I wasn’t going to cry about it, but I was exceptionally hurt by the betrayal,” she reflected.

It wasn’t long, however, before they were able to move on and enjoy “way too many tequilas” with the show’s producers — who didn’t communicate with the contestants at all during filming.

“That was nice to finally chat to people and find out what they were like and find out something about them because you just spent the last 13 days with these people that you weren’t allowed to talk to, so that was nice,” Krissy said.

Keira added that she felt “really bad” for voting Krissy out of the game, but they quickly realised it was “just a game” and they were able to compartmentalise their feelings.

“Look, we were all exhausted. We did that all in 13 days so we were so tired, and we were probably running off like, three hours of sleep a night,” she remarked.

Kirby’s sweet move after the show

Once all the players had settled back home (and caught up on their sleep), Kirby said she called each of her co-stars to check in with them and unpack her role as a Traitor.

“I was like, ‘I know, obviously, I was a Traitor. Do you have any questions? Do you need to say anything to me? I don’t play the game in the real world, so if you want to know something, ask me. Just call, and I’ll tell you the truth’,” she detailed.

Thankfully, no one held a grudge against her for her cutthroat behaviour and manipulation tactics in the game, although Luke and Josh Packham had plenty of questions about her strategy. She also hand-delivered an apology to Tully Smyth in Melbourne after growing incredibly close in the game.

“When I got home, I landed, went to the flower shop, bought a bouquet, and wrote, ‘I’m sorry, I betraitored you’, and turned up to her doorstep,” she said. “I was like, ‘I am actually genuinely sorry’. But I think if I hadn’t [murdered her], the Faithfuls would have won and I would have been out.”

It was an epic game and an even more incredible finale. Congratulations, Kirby!
