There's yet another drama to get stuck into on Monday night when The Teacher starts on Channel 5.
Having recently moved viewers with her portrayal of one of real life serial killer Stephen Port's victims in BBC thriller Four Live s, Sheridan Smith leads the cast of the new drama as Jenna Garvey, a school teacher accused of sleeping with one of her students, Kyle Hope.
The big issue, other than what she's been accused of is that Jenna can't remember anything from the night in question, plunging her into turmoil as she tries to piece things together while she's placed in the firing line.

Sheridan, who shot to fame on Two Pints of Lager and has also started in the likes of Cilla, Cleaning Up and The Moorside, isn't the only well known face in The Teacher cast as she is joined on screen by Kelvin Fletcher, former Emmerdale actor and winner of Strictly in 2019.
The Teacher cast
Sheridan Smith as Jenna Garvey
Kelvin Fletcher as Jack
Samuel Bottomley as Kyle Hope
Ian Pulseton-Davies as Brian
Sharon Rooney as Nina
Cecilia Noble as Pauline Booth
David Fleeshman as Jenna's father
Karen Henthorn as DI Sowerby
Sarah-Jane Potts as Mary, Kyle's mother
Aaronveer Dhillon as Adnan
The Teacher follows in the footsteps of gripping dramas from Channel 5 in 2021, with both The Drowning, starring Jill Halfpenny and Lie With Me, with a cast led by EastEnders icon Charlie Brookes, both pulling in high audiences.
Expectations are high on social media for The Teacher's debut. One viewer tweeted: "Really looking forward to watching The Teacher with Sheridan Smith she's a brilliant actor, we love everything she's been in, we don't see enough of her on tv."
A second posted: "Should be good, LOOKS good anyway from seeing the trailer."
The Teacher arrives on TV a week before Sheridan stars in new ITV drama No Return, as the mum of a teenager who is accused of sexually assaulting another youngster on holiday.
