The run-down parks and playgrounds in Swansea being transformed

Four play areas in Newton, Bonymaen, Dunvant and Ynystawe are the latest to have been transformed as part of Swansea Council's £5m investment to revamp play areas in Swansea.

Highmead Avenue Playground in Newton which was previously filled with tired looking equipment and was in need of some colour is now a beautiful bright playground with a trampoline built into the ground and multi-play towers and slides. Ynystawe Park has also had a colourful makeover with new play equipment installed including an inclusive roundabout and bright new surface.

Playgrounds in Brokesby Road in Bonymaen and Dunvant Park are also ready to use after being transformed with vibrant colours and exciting new equipment. The next play areas to be finished are at Maesteg Park, Ynysnewydd, Dunvant Meadow and Swansea Point. Some of the new equipment planned for these parks will include a climbing frame and a zip line.
