The Rock once considered MMA move when wrestling career was "failing miserably"

WWE star turned actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has revealed he once considered a move to MMA when his wrestling career wasn't working out.

Once a talented college football player, Johnson signed for the WWE in 1996 after not being selected for the NFL Draft the year prior.

His character was a huge hit for the promotion in the late 90s and Johnson spent eight years wrestling at the highest level before leaving the WWE in 2004.
