The Princess Royal recently paid a visit to the Royal Navy's newest frigate, HMS Venturer, which is currently being constructed in Rosyth. As the ship's Sponsor, Her Royal Highness will play a significant role in attending key moments in HMS Venturer's journey, including the naming and commissioning ceremonies. She will also be kept updated on the ship's activities and the endeavors of the 100-plus men and women who will serve on board.
During her visit this week, The Princess Royal had the opportunity to meet the ship's company, even though the frigate is still in the construction phase. She toured the assembly facility and got a firsthand look at HMS Venturer herself, getting acquainted with the individuals who will soon call the ship their workplace.
