Alex Jones admitted she'd been going through a 'challenging' time ahead of her return to The One Show on Tuesday night.
Alex was back in the BBC studio alongside former Newcastle United player turned presenter and commentator Jermaine Jenas as they were joined by guests including Danny Jones and Paul Chuckle.
But, before cameras started rolling on the programme, Alex took to Instagram to give a personal update, after being flooded with messages of support from fans.
Opening up on going through a tough patch, Alex shared a picture of a lemon and wrote: "Things have been a bit tricky for us recently and in all honesty, I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.

The former Strictly contestant continued: "I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you, and that even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there’s still plenty to smile about! (I’ll pop some stuff on my stories)"
Alex signed off the candid post with the hashtags '"#whenlifegivesyoulemons #thekindnessofstrangers," and was quickly greeted with kind messages from her celebrity pals and scores of social media followers.
Good Morning Britain star Charlotte Hawkins commented::"Hope all OK, sending love," with a follower telling her: "Never apologise Alex, for being a working mum/wife/having a life outside of the public eye. I came off of all Social media, except IG, because too many people had expectations about when I did and didn't post! Problem solved."
Another fan posted: "Alex you have three young children! Be kind to yourself and your other half. You come first, only do IG etc when you feel like it. They grow up so quickly."
