The next David Beckham who could provide Tottenham with Sergio Reguilon replacement

Antonio Conte is likely to find some potential players for his Tottenham team from foreign leagues. This was seen in the January transfer window as Spurs brought Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur in from Juventus.

The players the Lilywhites are able to attract may also depend on where they finish in the Premier League table. Tottenham currently sit two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, with five games left to play.

Spurs' last two results have highlighted the need for reinforcements in a number of positions all over the pitch. Conte needs his side to have a positive bounce back after the last two performances and get some much needed points on the table, when they welcome Leicester to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Borna Sosa is currently playing for VfB Stuttgart, who are battling relegation in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old started his career at Dinamo Zagreb, before making the move to the German side in 2018.

The versatile player has had experience as a left-back, left midfielder and left wing-back. Sosa is also part of the Croatian national team and has impressed at both club and country level. What will potentially be the most attractive quality of the Stuttgart player for Fabio Paratici and Conte, are his attacking qualities. On the left hand side, the Italian currently has Sergio Reguilon and Ryan Sessegnon available.

The latter made his return from injury against Brentford, but failed to make the required impact and take up his chance to impress. Reguilon has made a number of appearances in recent games, due to Sessegnon's injury, and has produced mixed performances, but still isn't making the attacking impact that the Spurs boss needs down the left flank.

The Spaniard is more of a full-back then a wing-back, but in a Conte side, the reliance on these wing-backs requires Reguilon to make this adaptation. The 24-year-old has made 25 Premier League appearances so far this season, scoring two goals and registering three assists.

Sessegnon has made just ten league appearances and registered just one assist. However, with his experience and potential, it seems that the former Fulham player is more favoured in the left wing-back role, when he is available.

Real Madrid have their final option to re-sign Reguilon, when the summer transfer window opens, for a fee that is believed to be around £43 million. Therefore a return to the Spanish side could be an option for the 24-year-old, or he may decide to leave if he gets offers from elsewhere and doesn't see himself getting regular game time next season at Spurs.

This is where someone like Sosa could step in. The 24-year-old has made 25 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, scoring just one goal but racking up eight assists.

The Croatia international has had some injury issues this season, but has played 90 minutes and made the starting XI in every league game he has been involved in. Sosa is now being linked with a move to Tottenham, after he was previously associated with a move to Chelsea, and he is more likely to be encouraged by a move, if his current side are relegated.

The wing-back has had some Champions League experience, which could be an added boost if Spurs make it into the top four this season. Sosa's ability has even earned him comparisons to David Beckham, who he has admitted is one of his footballing idols, along with David Alba.

"It’s hard to compare yourself to a football legend. But is it nice to hear something like that? Naturally. And do we have anything in common in our crosses? We do. It's not easy to learn. You either have it or you don't," Bosa admitted.

His versatility not only in positions he can play in, but also his ability on the ball, have also been commended. "Borna has blossomed," Stuttgart manager Pellegrino Matarazzo said. "We all knew about his huge potential - now he's delivering over 90 minutes on a consistent basis." Sosa being left-footed, his attacking qualities and consistency could all make the 24-year-old a solid addition to Conte's squad.

Valued at between £8-13million, the Croatian wouldn't break the bank for Spurs and could definitely be an option that the Lilywhites explore, especially if Reguilon does make a summer exit.
