A beautiful Welsh waterfall has become the focal point of rescue missions to recover walkers of certain age, according to a mountain rescue service. Aber Falls at Abergwyngregyn in Snowdonia has seen several incidents in recent weeks.
The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO) have visited 120ft waterfall four times in the last fortnight to assist a fallen walker. A spokesperson for the volunteer led service said: “Rhaeadr Fawr has become quite a hotspot for middle-aged walkers recently. For the fourth time in two weeks the team were called out to Aber Falls for a fallen walker.”
According to North Wales Live, these incidents included a woman who lost some teeth, another who broke her leg and two were reported unconscious.
