The Masked Singer finale will see the return of previous characters Robin, Hedgehog and Queen Bee to the stage this evening.
This year’s series of the popular celebrity singing competition comes to a conclusion this evening, with the three incognito finalists Panda, Robobunny and Mushroom heading for an unmasking.
Host Joel Dommett and the judging panel of Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan will see the identities of the finalists revealed, but will also be joined by some familiar faces from this and previous years on the show.
A sneak peak of the pre-recorded finale showed all 12 of the contestants in their costumes performing Lady Gaga’s hit song ‘The Edge of Glory’.
This evening’s show will see one celebrity crowned the ultimate champion and fans will get the chance to see last year’s victor as a judge.
The judging panel will add last year’s winner Joss Stone, who was unmasked as Sausage in 2021.
Joel Dommett, who was also on presenting duties last year, said Joss’s voice had been “absolutely incredible”.
As well as Joss, The Masked Singer fans will see a first on tonight’s final when three previous competitors return for a trio of one-of-a-kind duets.
Robin, Hedgehog and Queen Bee from previous series of the show are returning in character to perform with the three finalists.
Aston Merrygold, Jason Manford and series one winner Nicola Roberts will be stepping back into their extravagant disguises to duet with the last three contestants standing.
The semi-finals for The Masked Singer had five contestants - Traffic Cone, Rockhopper, Panda, Robobunny and Mushroom.
By the end of the episode Traffic Cone was revealed as Aled Jones, who described the costume as being "very sweaty inside".
Rockhopper was also unmasked as Michelle Williams, who said: "I must commend the costume designer and all of the amazing folk that helped get me dressed for every performance.
“I know they worked very hard on all of the characters. I had tons of fun hopping around and making noises backstage and onstage."
This leaves Panda, Robobunny and Mushroom battling it out in the final episode.
Guesses on Panda's identity from the judging panel have included Amanda Holden, Billie Piper, Kimberly Wyatt and Cheryl. Some of the names being thrown around by viewers at home are Natalie Imbruglia, Alesha Dixon and Lulu.
Meanwhile, the judges have guessed that Robobunny could be Will Smith, Toni Braxton, Joe Jonas or Jason Derulo, but fans are convinced that the masked contestant is Westlife's Mark Feehily.
The panel’s theories of Mushroom's identity have included Sarah Lancashire, Sheridan Smith, with Mo Gilligan guessing Charlotte Church in the latest episode.
