The Masked Dancer and The Voice to be delayed by ITV to make way for Queen news special

ITV has announced it will delay airings of both The Masked Dance r and The Voice tonight to make way for an ITV news special on the Queen.

Broadcasters have made several major changes to schedules throughout the week as the nation continues to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at Balmoral Castle last Thursday.

That will prove to be the case again for ITV this weekend with The Masked Dancer being put back to a 7pm start time, and The Voice UK following on at 8:30pm.

Later viewing sees Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? commence at 10pm, followed by ITV News (10:55) and EFL Highlights (11:20).

Discussing the changes last week, a spokesperson for ITV commented: "ITV’s main channel will continue to make changes to its schedule to broadcast the important state events of the coming days culminating in the historic state funeral with extensive and dedicated news coverage from our news teams."

On Monday, meanwhile, ITV, the BBC and Sky News will be leading the coverage of the Queen's funeral, with people across the UK paying tribute to their late monarch.

The Queen and her long reign will be honoured in the special funeral, which begins at 11am. Many dignitaries and world leaders will join the Royal Family at the funeral, as they bid a final farewell to the monarch.

TV channels across the UK will be marking the historic occasion with special coverage with Tom Bradby and Julie Etchingham helming ITV's coverage.

Their programming will begin at 9.30am and will cover the funeral service, which will take place at Westminster Abbey, as well as the mile-long military procession as the monarch is taking on her final journey through London.

ITV will also track the Queen's final journey to Windsor as well as the committal service at St George's Chapel.

Mary Nightingale will lead reporting from Westminster Abbey, whilst Royal Editor Chris Ship will be in London and later in Windsor.
