Fans of Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian have tipped its upcoming season as the “biggest hyped show” of the year as a new trailer has left them “crying.” Season three of the acclaimed show is slated for release on Disney+ later this year, and fans are already counting down the days until its return.
Fronted by Pedro Pascal – who is also starring in HBO’s The Last of Us – the show follows a lone bounty hunter as he travels around a galaxy far, far away following the fall of the Galactic Empire. It is created by American filmmaker Jon Favreau and executive produced by The Clone Wars producer Dave Filoni.
The trailer for the forthcoming season sees Pascal’s titular gunslinger reunited with little Grogu – who appears to be getting to grips with his newly honed force powers – amid the return of several familiar faces from the wider Star Wars universe. The duo looks set to be heading to some iconic locations in the new season, including a decimated Mandalore and the capital of the Republic, Coruscant.

The clip also teases further exploration of Grogu’s escape from the Jedi Temple during the infamous Order 66, which saw the Jedi all but wiped out. Ahead of the new series – which is set to air on Disney’s streaming platform in March – fans have flocked to social media to share their emotions as they await the “biggest hyped show” of the year.
