Returning Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial has called on Bruno Fernandes to provide him with the ammunition he needs to rekindle his Old Trafford career.
Martial, who is one of 31 players that has been included in the squad for the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, will be aiming to get his career back on track after a forgettable 2021/22 campaign. He spent the second half of last term on loan at Spanish outfit Sevilla and failed to live up to expectations.
Making just 12 appearances during his time at the club, Martial netted one goal for his loan club. His struggles in Seville meant that the Frenchman scored just two goals in 23 appearances for United and Sevilla combined last term.

He has since returned to Old Trafford and has participated in the first two weeks of pre-season training under Erik ten Hag, so will surely get the chance to prove his worth during United's upcoming cluster of pre-season matches. Beyond that, however, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the France international.
Nevertheless, Martial has called on midfield architect Fernandes to help him rekindle his career with some assists. In a video released on United's website, Fernandes was allowed to take control of the camera during the flight to Thailand, filming conversations with some of his teammates.
"Look who's back," said Fernandes. "Anthony Martial is back. He will be back scoring goals."
Martial replied: "Give me some assists, please." Fernandes then responded: "I will for sure, man. You know that we have that connection."
Unsurprisingly, the conversation sparked a reaction from United's supporters on social media. Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of them had to say on Instagram:

As you can see from the comments displayed above, United's supporters are certainly hopeful that he can rekindle his Old Trafford career. He has only scored eight goals for the Reds in the last two seasons combined and will be desperate to improve on that tally.
