Here's the latest roundup of K-pop news this week. First, two Thai members have joined YG Ent's new girl group; Aespa has released their third mini-album; and F.T. ISLAND is returning to Bangkok.

Thai BabyMonster

The success of Blackpink's Lisa has led her music label, YG Entertainment, to search for more young Thai talent. Recently, two aspiring Thai singers -- Pharita, 17, and Chiquita, 13 -- were selected to be members of YG's new girl group BabyMonster. This new group consists of seven singers who participated in a reality and singing competition, Last Evaluation. While Pharita impressed viewers with her vocals, Chiquita captivated with her enchanting singing. On May 14, BabyMonster dropped their English song Dream on YouTube which had 10 million views in just one day.

Aespa's World

The popular girl group Aespa has released their third mini album My World, which features six tracks encompassing various music genres. The first single, Spicy, is a dynamic and vibrant song that showcases the group's youthful and energetic spirit. Welcome To My World is an intriguing alternative pop song that incorporates elements of guitar and orchestra arrangements.

Thirty takes listeners on a dreamy R&B journey, highlighting Aespa's harmonious vocals, while Till We Meet Again is a sweet ballad adorned with beautiful string instruments. My World has set a new record for Aespa by exceeding 1.8 million pre-order albums, surpassing the 1.61 million pre-orders of their previous album Girls.

F.T. ISLAND is back!

It has been five years since the Korean pop-rock band F.T. ISLAND last performed in Thailand, but they are ready to return. Thai fans will once again have the opportunity to experience their impressive performance at the concert "2023 FTISLAND Live 'Re: FTISLAND' in Bangkok" on June 10. The concert will take place at Bhiraj Hall, Bitec. Tickets cost 2,500, 3,500, 4,500 and 5,500 baht and are currently available at thaiticketmajor.com.
