It is easy to understand why confusion exists around current COVID-19 rules in the UK. On the one hand, some doctors' surgeries are still only offering online appointments to patients, citing COVID-19-related caution.
On the other hand, some local businesses such as retail outlets are emblazoned with posters requesting customers to wear masks. This flies in the face of government-issued guidance that scrapped Covid restrictions last month.
The government introduced its Living with COVID-19 plan on February 21, a 63-page document which laid out steps to remove restrictions. These restrictions were fully lifted, a full month earlier than planned, on February 24.
