The latest average house price in every area of Greater Manchester

Whether you are buying your first house, trying to move up the property ladder or want to sell your home and downsize, it is very useful to know how much homes typically cost these days. In general, house prices have gone up a considerable amount in recent years, but the average price you can expect to buy or sell a property for differs from one area to the next.

Homes in Greater Manchester had an overall average price of £251,162 over the last year, but when looking across each of the region's 10 boroughs, the cost of a home largely fluctuates. In areas of Stockport and Trafford, you can expect to pay a much bigger price for a property whereas in most parts of Wigan and Bolton, you are most likely to buy a similar home for much less.

To help those who are planning to buy or sell a home, or if you're just interested in finding out more about your local area, we have compiled a list of the most up-to-date average house prices in every Greater Manchester area, using data from the HM Land Registry.
