Matt's weight loss journey has been well publicised, with the Little Britain star opting to ditch his unhealthy lifestyle in a bid to shed pounds piled on during lockdown. Replying to a tweet praising his new appearance from Lord Alan Sugar, Matt said that he decided to undergo a change after he "saw [himself] on telly and thought '[He] can barely fit on the screen".
After seeing Matt on Bake Off, one viewer wrote on social media: "Bloody hell, Matt Lucas has lost weight." These feelings were shared by numerous other people, who even sought diet tips from him.
