The gorgeous beaches voted the best in Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is known for its stunning coastline and gorgeous beaches. From wide expanses of endless golden sands to amazing clear water Pembrokeshire is loved for being a fabulous holiday destination.

Ty Hotel Milford Waterfront has conducted research, using Instagram to find out which beaches in Pembrokeshire are the most popular with visitors. Using the amount of photos under the hashtag of each beach name, Ty Hotel Milford Haven have named the top five most popular beaches. You can read the best 40 beaches across Wales here. 1. Broad Haven

Broad Haven Beach has been named the most popular beach in Pembrokeshire (WalesOnline)

In top spot is Broad Haven beach which is long and sandy, providing plenty of spots for sunbathing. The beach has a Blue Flag award, you can read all the beaches in Wales with a Blue Flag in 2022 here, parking, free public toilets, and other than at the northern end of the beach, the beach is dog friendly all year round.

2. Barafundle Bay

A hidden gem to many, but still very popular, is the gorgeous Barafundle Bay. Many compare the beauty of Barafundle Bay to beaches abroad. As it is a little walk from the car park (located at Stackpole Quay) to the beach there is a very peaceful and quiet feel to the beach. Barafundle Bay has been awarded a Blue Flag and dogs are allowed on the beach.

3. Newgale

Further up the Pembrokeshire coast is Newgale beach which is very popular for water sports. With winds from the Atlantic the beach is great for surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking, and fishing. Newgale has a Green Coast Award and Seaside Award, there are three car parks for the beach and toilets.

4. Marloes Sands

You can enjoy rock pooling at Marloes Sands (Portia Jones)

For rock pooling and a taste of Hollywood head to Marloes Sands. There are plenty of rock pools to explore and scenes from Snow White and the Huntsman were shot there. There is a car park, toilets, cafe, and the beach is dog friendly.

5. Whitesands Bay

Popular with surfers and named after the white sand Whitesands Bay comes in as the fifth most popular beach. Carn Llidi overlooks the beach and Whitesands Bay has been awarded a Blue Flag award. There are parking and toilets at the beach.
