Playing with randoms in The Forge can be fun, but it can also be frustrating. From griefers to cheaters, there are plenty of players you’d rather not share a server with. If you want to play only with friends (or even enjoy the game completely solo) a private server is the perfect solution. Read on to find out when private servers are coming to The Forge, how much they will cost, and whether trading and PvP will be supported.
The Forge Private Servers - All You Need to Know
Let’s start by addressing the most important question: Will The Forge have private servers? The answer is a resounding yes! Private servers are coming to The Forge. The developers have confirmed this multiple times, and they are actively working on implementing the feature as I write these lines. If you are sick and tired of hackers ruining your experience, you can relax.
Private Servers Release Date
Now that you know Private Servers are on the way, the next question is naturally when they’ll be added to The Forge. Unfortunately, we don’t have that information yet. The developers haven’t yet provided a specific release date. If I had to guess, I’d assume private servers will arrive with the game’s first major update: the Third Island Winter update. It’s scheduled for December 25th, 2025, which is the earliest date you can reasonably expect private servers to appear in The Forge.
The Forge Private Server Price - Will They Be Free?
Pricing for private servers on Roblox isn’t universal. Each game’s developers set their own price. In the case of The Forge, the developers haven’t shared any pricing details yet, so all we can do for now is speculate. Most private servers on Roblox cost somewhere between 10 and 50 Robux per month, so it’s reasonable to expect a similar price range for The Forge.
There may also be a one-time fee required to create a private server, although it could end up being free, that’s still a possibility. Once more information is available, we’ll be sure to update our article.
Can You Trade Items in The Forge?
At the moment, trading isn’t available in The Forge. However, the developers have confirmed that a trading system will be added in a future update. We still don’t know exactly how it will work or what items will be tradable, but once the developers share more information, we’ll make sure to update our guide accordingly.
I assume you’ll be able to trade equipment, Runes, and Ores, but I’m not as confident about Pickaxes. They’re expensive and form the backbone of the game’s economy. Allowing high-level players to gift unwanted Pickaxes to lower-level players could lead to major exploits and disrupt the game’s balance. Still, this is only speculation for now, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement.

Will There Be PvP Servers in The Forge?
Yes, PvP is coming to The Forge. The developers confirmed this through the game's official Discord server, just as they have with the other upcoming features mentioned in this article. However, much like those features, we still know almost nothing about how PvP will work - only that it is planned. So keep in mind that the next paragraph is purely my speculation and should be taken with a massive grain of salt.
What I’m absolutely certain about is that PvP will be optional. If you prefer peaceful mining and leveling, you’ll still be able to enjoy the game exactly that way even after PvP is introduced. In my view, the developers will either add dedicated PvP servers where players can attack each other on sight anywhere on the map, or they’ll create specialized PvP zones, Arena-style areas where players can challenge each other to fights.
The Forge Private Servers FAQ
Currently - nothing. But once the developers add the trading system, we’ll update this FAQ with all the new information.
Right now, The Forge doesn't have PvP, but the team behind the game is working on implementing this mode. Once the mode is live, we will explain to you how to play it.
At the moment, there’s no way to create a Private Server in The Forge. The feature is still in development, and once the developers roll it out, I’ll update this guide with detailed instructions on how to set up your own server.
Public servers can host up to 12 players at a time. When it comes to private servers, I assume that the number will be either the same, or you will be able to set the limit yourself when creating a server.
I assume this feature will be available, but we’ll have to wait for the official release before we can confirm it.
With that said, that’s everything we currently know about private servers, PvP, and trading in The Forge. It’s not a lot, but at least we have confirmation that all of these features are coming soon - and the developers are actively working on them.
