We've spoken about, written about it, shared images from it and even heard from the cast and crew but nothing compares to actually seeing it.
Finally, the season six trailer for Outlander has dropped and it looks epic!
Due to start on March 6, the new season is set to be jam-packed with action and every other emotion under the sun.
Today, on the official Outlander social media pages, show bosses dropped the footage which left fans pining for more.
They wrote: "The wait is over! Here's the official trailer for #Outlander Season 6, premiering March 6 on STARZ."
From what we can see from the two-minute clip, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) look like they face a tumultuous time as the Revolutionary war is beginning to brew and is forcing everyone to pick a side – including our favourite Highlander.
"This I promise you, won't come between us..." Claire's haunting words echo throughout the trailer, and we can only hope it's true as the pair and their kin face off against newcomers, old foes and divided loyalties.
The eagerly anticipated clip shows our favourite couples like Bree and Roger and Marsali and Fergus together while all around them the coming war sucks in everything around it.
Claire's dramatic voice over reveals that Fraser's Ridge is going to be caught up in the war and it's likely that some friends are going to become enemies.
Even just watching the trailer has left knots in our stomachs as Claire says: "I don't belong here. Brianna, Roger, they don't belong here. But yet here we are, all of us, because I loved you more than the life that I had."
Who is she talking to? Is she revealing her time-travelling secret to someone else that isn't her inner circle?
We will need to tune in on March 6 to find out!
Sam Heughan even posted that he was so excited that he couldn't breathe.
He wrote: "I’m so excited I can’t breath!!!!!! Gahhh! See you March 6th!?!"
And the official STARZ page replied: "Personally I am in cardiac arrest due to sheer excitement."
Fans flocked to the official Twitter page to share their delight but some also revealed that they are nervous for what is to come.
One commented: "Woooow!! I have chills. I must study the trailer frame by frame. I’m scared! Jamie is never smiling."
One added: "GAHHHHH this looks incredible!! I need to watch it 100 more times."
While another added: "Ohmygod, this trailer is SO FREAKING INTENSE!! Aaaaaaahh!! It's going to be unbearable in the best possible way!! Gah! Can't wait to see Season 6!!!"
