The size of the task facing Warren Gatland in turning around Wales' fortunes in a World Cup year has become all the more clear after 160 minutes of Six Nations action.
Scotland's 35-7 thrashing of a much-changed Wales side in Edinburgh in round two reinforced that Wales' issues, there for all to see in the round one 34-10 defeat to Ireland in Cardiff, are no quick fixes, with indiscipline, lack of accuracy and attacking flair all problems which held Wales back.
So, what now? Wales' next match is against England in Cardiff on Saturday, February 25. Steve Borthwick's men will be bidding for a Principality Stadium scalping after losing out to Scotland in round one before claiming their first win of the campaign against Italy on Sunday.
Does Gatland plough on with future-proofing this squad by exposing his younger players to more Test experience? The likes of Joe Hawkins, Rio Dyer, Dafydd Jenkins, Christ Tshiunza, Tommy Reffell and Jac Morgan all started against Scotland and offered positives for the future.
Or does the Kiwi try and redeem Wales' reputation and try and grind out a win with more experience, maybe from Justin Tipuric or Alun Wyn Jones who were dropped for round two, or Taulupe Faletau who was benched?
Fitness-wise, Louis Rees-Zammit comes into contention to face England while Tomas Francis could well have recovered by then, both having suffered ankle injuries.
