It feels like there's a new video game movie adaptation announcement or trailer every week these days, but this one's got me excited.
Elden Ring. Ooohhh, Elden Ring. Yeah, the 2022 FromSoftware instant classic is coming to the silver screen, officially, and production is set to commence very soon (if not already). The movie is being brought to life by A24 Productions and director Alex Garland, aiming for a March 3, 2028 release.
Not only that, but a cast of actors has been officially revealed by Bandai Namco, and it's got some familiar names on it that will help bring the characters to life:

If this movie launches on its scheduled date, it will have only been six years between the game's launch and its movie coming out, which is quite spectacular.
Elden Ring's lore is stunning and deep, created in partnership with Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin. There are so many directions that the movie could go in story-wise, and I'll be obsessing over what it could look like while watching VaatiVidya lore videos for the foreseeable future.
What do you think the Elden Ring movie's story should look like? Who are your non-negotiables? Personally, I think the stories of characters like Marika, Radagon, Malenia, Miquella, and the royal families must be included. Beyond that, I would love to see what the writers and producers come up with.
The Elden Ring movie will be filmed in IMAX, too, so regardless of where the story ends up, I'd love for it to be a visual spectacle, if nothing else.
