We want to know what your favourite British dish is.
The nation’s cuisine has been derided by the press and mocked by other countries. Even famous English writer Virgina Woolf called our island's food an “abomination”.
But according to the latest data Britons still love their own food. A survey by YouGov found that more than nine in 10 UK citizens enjoyed their own style of cooking.
The ECHO wants to know whether this nationwide popularity is shared in Merseyside. In a questionnaire we have selected 11 classic foods to choose from including staple dishes such as a Sunday roast, fish and chips, toad in the hole and a full English breakfast.
We'll round up the results and let you know readers' favourites in a forthcoming story.
