Lamar Odom has claimed he bought a Khloe Kardashian lookalike sex doll to help with his “mental health”.
The former NBA player, 45, admitted he has bought an $8,000 (£6,312) doll which will be custom-made to resemble Kardashian, 40.
Odom was married to Kardashian from 2009 until 2016 and they split after he cheated on her numerous times.
The athlete was seen browsing the silicone models at RealDoll in Las Vegas earlier this month, in videos obtained by TMZ.
Explaining his purchase on the We’re Out Of Time podcast, Odom said: “When you’re really thinking about it, (it’s) like a doll.
“But then you think about like, mental health, and how important that is, not just in today’s time, but just from the beginning of time. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health.”
He added: “It’s sick, but I think we’re all a little off, a little weird. They’re gonna make it to look like her. I need like, a harem.”
When asked if he is still in contact with Kardashian, the basketball star revealed: “She still cares about me. I don’t speak to her. I can text her and she’ll reply.”
Last month, Odom’s manager Gina Rodriguez told TMZ he first saw RealDoll in a news story a month ago and “instantly” knew he had to get one.
The sports star was in Las Vegas for his birthday and decided it would be a good time to get a model of Kardashian.
The dolls are custom-made, allowing shoppers to decide how everything looks.
Odom said he wanted a doll with voluptuous curves and a face like Kardashian’s, according to the outlet.
His manager said the doll would be perfect because he can do “whatever he wants with her sexually”.
Odom and Kardashian married just weeks after they first met in 2009 and split in 2013. They divorced three years later.
The Dancing with the Stars alum has been open about his drug addiction battle in the past.
Odom had 12 strokes and six heart attacks while in a coma in 2015 after being hospitalised for an overdose.
He star has also previously revealed he had “full-blown relationships” while still married to Kardashian.
Odom talked about The Kardashians star during his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother US in 2022, telling a housemate: “I miss her so much. I wish I could take that time back.”
