The Diamondbacks rudely planted their flag in the Phillies’ home after clinching World Series berth

If you want to know when a new rivalry was born, I suspect this is it.

After the Arizona Diamondbacks upset the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2023 NLCS, the Snakes didn’t have their pool to jump into like in their Chase Field home. So what did they do instead to celebrate at Citizens Bank Park?

They pulled a Baker Mayfield and decided to plant their flag right on the field on which they claimed their Game 7 victory, even snapping photos with it.

I’m pretty sure Phillies players will take note of that for future matchups. Here’s the moment that everyone else noted, too:
