The best coffee shop in the city has been picked by our readers as part of the Leeds Loves awards.
The awards, run by us here at LeedsLive, spanned 10 categories celebrating the best of the city’s wonderful hospitality industry. We know it has been a difficult few years for the sector and the campaign aimed to show a little support to all those great businesses.
All the winners were chosen directly by you. Readers initially nominated food, drink and hospitality Leeds venues for the categories and then, once a shortlist was compiled, voted for their favourite finalists.

Gray’s of Rothwell has won the best coffee shop in Leeds category. On Facebook, the team posted: “LeedsLive ran the first Leeds Loves campaign this year to find out who you thought were the best in Leeds across 10 categories in hospitality. They felt, after a tough two years, it would be nice to celebrate the hospitality venues in Leeds.
“Gray’s was shortlisted for best coffee shop, along with four other great establishments and thanks to the support and votes of our amazing customers, it’s been announced we’ve won best coffee shop in Leeds.”

Praising the rich and varied hospitality industry in our city, LeedsLive editor Wayne Ankers said: "We were absolutely blown away by the number of quality of entries. They are all winners in our book and it is brilliant to be able to celebrate all the incredible venues across the city. But I would like to say a huge congratulations to those establishments that took the title. It is thoroughly deserved and credit to each and every one for not only surviving, but actually thriving after everything we have faced in the last two years."
