When Vicky Winner and Jake Holloway bought themselves a run-down Arts and Crafts house the property had not been maintained or modernised for decades.
Once the couple had done the boring bits — getting the roof redone, fixing subsidence, switching single glazing for double, replacing rotten floorboards, and sourcing and tackling widespread damp – they were ready to have some fun.
