Easter is upon us, which means one thing - Sunday lunch.
Aside from the traditional Easter egg hunt, many families will also be sitting down to a huge feast complete with all the trimmings.
But as the cost of living continues to rise, many of us might be wondering how we can pick up our Easter feast essentials for less.
Which is exactly why consumer expert Which? has done some digging to find out how shoppers can save money this bank holiday weekend by finding the best value supermarkets.
Experts have compared the prices on Easter options from some of the countries biggest supermarkets including Aldi, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's.
The price comparison looked at everything needed to make your Easter feast special this year, with prices on different meats and trimmings compared.
Which? has found that it's worth shopping around for the best prices to help stick to your budget if you're looking to make a great value Sunday lunch spread this Easter.
Here is where you can get the cheapest roast dinner in 2022
Main course
Lamb
Which? found that lamb was the most popular choice for a a Sunday roast main, but other options such as chicken, pork and a veggie option were also looked at.
According to the research, Asda is offering the cheapest half leg of lamb - between 950g and 1.27kg - at £10.99 per kg.
That followed by Waitrose (£11.62), Sainsbury's (£12) and Tesco (£13.50.)
Ocado came in at the dearest for lamb at £14.50.
Chicken
However, those choosing chicken as their main dish will find that Aldi is the most inexpensive option, coming in at £1.87 for a 1.6-2kg.
Morrisons was a close runner-up (£2.35), with Sainsbury's in third place (£2.37) and Asda in a close fourth (£2.38.)
On the opposite end of the scale, Waitrose was the most expensive option for a serving of chicken, coming in at £2.83.
Pork
If pork is your main dish of choice this year, then Aldi, Lidl and Sainsbury's were all found to be the cheapest supermarkets. Their 1-2kg pork joint's were priced at £2.89.
These were then followed by Asda and Tesco who were both priced at £3.50 for the same joint, while Ocado came in third with a price of £3.85.
Waitrose was once again found to be the most expensive option at £6.50.
Veggie
Veggie's have also been catered to in this price comparison, as the experts at Which? looked at the prices of Linda McCartney’s frozen vegetarian chicken roast.
Waitrose was found to be the cheapest veggie option with a price of just £3 for 400g.
Morrisons and Ocado came in joint second place with a price of £3.50. Sainsbury's and Tesco were the joint winners for the most expensive supermarket at £3.85.
Aldi, Asda and Lidl were not looked at for the veggie option as they do not stock Linda McCartney’s frozen vegetarian chicken roast.
Trimmings
No Sunday feast will be complete without your trimmings on the side, so Which? also compared the prices of your favourite side dishes to find the best value supermarket.
A 1000g bag of own-label carrots cost just 39p at Aldi, Morrisons and Tesco, which makes them the cheapest on the market.
Shoppers can make their roasts from a sack of Own Label King Edward Potatoes (2000g-2500g) for just £1.19 from Lidl. Sainsbury's are offering them for just£1.33, while Morrisons and Tesco are selling them for £1.50.
For a 375g of Birds Eye frozen peas, Ocado was the cheapest at just £1. This was followed closely by Sainsbury's at £.106. Morrisons cost £1.39, while Waitrose and Tesco cost £1.40.
Other options such as broccoli, asparagus, leeks and baby potatoes were also looked at.
