The Cardiff City player ratings as youngster fantastic and Leeds United loanee terrific again

Alex Smithies 7

Did well in the swirling wind. Had to have his wits about him to tip a cross over the bar in the first half and made a couple of decent saves after the break.

Perry Ng 7

A really assured performance again from the defender. Gives Cardiff more options on the ball and works well with Drameh on that far side.

Aden Flint 6

Defensively pretty sound, although struggled in the air with the wind a little. Distribution was a bit hit and miss too.

Mark McGuinness 6

Missed his header before Ekpiteta headed home. Bit of a rocky start for the young defender but grew into the game in the second half.

Cody Drameh 8

Another stellar display from the Leeds United loanee. Looked the most likely to create for most of the afternoon and was terrific in defence, too.

Ryan Wintle 7

Swept things up well at the base and kept things ticking over. Cut a frustrated figure at the lack of options ahead at times but some really neat and tidy play.

Will Vaulks 6

A little clumsy in the challenge sometimes but put himself about when he needed to. Booked for a cynical challenge on Bowler late on.

Tommy Doyle 7

Did most things very well, only got sloppy when he tried to force the issue, which is no bad thing when there is a lack of creativity. Better later on.

Joel Bagan 7

Cannot stop him scoring at the minute! Was uncharacteristically sloppy at the start but excellent after the break. Should have had two but snatched at a half-volleyed chance.

Isaak Davies 8 (star man)

His work rate is so impressive. Pressed and defended brilliantly from the front and was a menace when the game opened up. Fantastic performance.

Jordan Hugill 7

Did a lot of the ugly stuff well. Won lots of duels and held the ball up well. A really solid shift again from the striker.

Subs

Uche Ikpeazu (on for Hugill 72) 7 - Made a big difference when he came on. Won so many fouls and duels, a positive cameo.

Mark Harris (on for Davies 79) 6 - Another decent outing for the striker but no clear-cut chances fell his way.
