Bill has been thrilled to welcome his daughter into his life on The Bold and the Beautiful, but lately he’s been wondering about Poppy. Is he getting suspicious of Poppy?
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) is a smart man. Even as he’s head over heels in love with his daughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), he’s still got his eyes open. He’s been very happy about rekindling his romance with Poppy (Romy Park), but lately he’s seeing some things that have given him cause for concern.
Ever since Tom (Clint Howard) appeared at Il Giardino, Poppy has been acting strange. She’s been emotional and she’s prone to disappearing. In the July 15 episode, even as Luna mourned Hollis’ (Hollis W. Chambers) death, Poppy ducked out after giving Bill a lame excuse of needing to do something.
And this isn’t the first time it’s happened. It also happened the night Tom died. Bill mentioned that Poppy came in late, not knowing that she’d been at Il Giardino to confront him before his performance.
Poppy has been emotional since Tom died, and now that Hollis is also dead she’s even more upset. Bill’s trying to adapt to having two women in his house so he’s probably chalking it up to how close the mother-daughter duo are, but he has no idea about Poppy’s connection to Tom.
Though Bill loves Poppy, he has many reasons to be wary. The number one reason is Katie (Heather Tom) expressing her concerns about her. Bill already told Katie she’s the love of his life and he trusts her opinion. When she said she had issues with Poppy, Bill listened. He filed that away in case he needed it, but so far it hasn’t been necessary.
We know Bill is starting to wonder where Poppy goes because he asked Luna about it. The fact that Poppy left while Luna was upset was probably a red flag for him, too. It will be interesting to see how long Bill goes along with Poppy’s flightiness before confronting her about it; if they’re going to have their happy ever after, they need to be able to trust each other and right now Poppy is giving him too many reasons to wonder whether she’s being honest with him.
