NEW DELHI: His father is a stalwart in the film industry. His mother is a renowned film critic. But unlike his parents, Agni Chopra - son of Vidhu Vinod and Anupama Chopra - has scripted a different career path, with a bat in his hands. The 25-year-old has made a blockbuster entry in First Class cricket, with a record debut season for Mizoram in the ongoing Ranji Trophy.
Ever since marking his First Class debut against Sikkim with a sterling 166 in the Ranji Trophy opener, Agni has notched up a whopping 767 runs in eight innings. His phenomenal run includes five hundreds and a fifty, thus making him the highest run-getter in this season's Ranji Trophy.
