Celtic allowed Rangers to claim a draw at Parkhead but is that enough to secure the title?
KEITH JACKSON: Of course it is. The trophy was already wrapped up before a ball was kicked yesterday and nothing has changed. It’ll be done and dusted at the weekend when Hearts make it across the M8.
ANDY NEWPORT: It’s been done for a month. As soon as Celtic got the result at Ibrox it was always going to be a huge task for Rangers to cling onto their crown. The Hoops weren’t great at times yesterday but Ange Postecoglou deserves huge credit for rebuilding a broken squad.
DAVID McCARTHY: The league was won even if Rangers had left with the three points in my opinion. A draw suited Celtic just fine but there were loads of positives for Rangers to take away from their performance.
MICHAEL GANNON: It’s a done deal. Celtic only had to avoid defeat and they managed to achieve it. They can’t let up but the engraver can get to work.
Should Fashion Sakala start against Leipzig despite struggling in the first leg in Germany?
KEITH: That all depends on how Kemar Roofe is feeling after another week on the treatment table. If the Englishman is fit then he’s a certain starter and Sakala will have to settle for a place on the bench.
ANDY: Perhaps - but certainly not as the lone frontman. He proved again during a pretty rotten first half he’s not yet got the tools to play with his back to goal but given space from the wide areas he can be a threat. If Roofe doesn’t start up top it will be Aribo after he was taken off as a precaution yesterday.
DAVID: Gers have got to hope Kemar Roofe is fit. If not, Sakala showed in the last half hour that he can be effective through the middle. It didn’t work in Braga, but it’s worth giving it a go at Ibrox if Roofe doesn’t make it.
MICHAEL: If Kemar Roofe is fit, he’d come back. Joe Aribo was effective when he was up top against Leipzig and could be the option, perhaps with Sakala out wide.
Will it be Ross County or Motherwell claiming the second Conference League ticket?
KEITH: Motherwell have dropped off a cliff since the turn of the year while Ross County continue to impress. The point they took at Tynecastle on Saturday might be enough to bring Europe to the Highlands.
ANDY: Next week’s meeting between the Staggies and Well in Dingwall will be huge but I can’t see a Motherwell team that’s won just two games since Boxing Day stopping Malky Mackay’s rejuvenated County outfit as they look to take the club into Europe for the first time.
DAVID: Ross County are in the box seat - a point ahead, better goal difference and two home against ‘Well and Dundee Utd to come. Dingwall is set to host European football next season.
MICHAEL: If you found two bob on the ground you wouldn’t stick it on Motherwell at the moment. Ross County have the form and the squad to finish fifth.
Do St Johnstone still need to worry about being caught by Dundee?
KEITH: Yes. There have been green shoots at Dens Park and even though five points is a lot for Mark McGhee to make up, St Johnstone can’t afford to rule it out. They need a big result to save their own top flight skin. but it probably won’t come at Livingston on Saturday.
ANDY: It was a dismal display from Saints given a win would have moved them to within two points of St Mirren but Dundee are still searching for the big result they need to spark a rescue act. With Davidson’s team holding a six-point lead and only nine remaining, it’d take an almighty turn around at Dens to snatch the play-off spot.
DAVID: No, but they should be concerned about their ability to stay in the league because the lack of urgency in a must-win game against St Mirren on Saturday does not augur well for a play-off clash with a high-flying Championship opponent.
MICHAEL: Dundee are not done yet. They deserved more against the Dons and showed signs of life. They are going to get a break at some point so it would be no surprise to see the fight going down to the final day of the season.
