As electric vehicles become a more significant portion of new cars available, automakers are trying to make them as slippery as possible to maximize their range. Companies have been working on reducing drag coefficients for decades. The AVT concept was BMW's effort to show off a more aerodynamic exterior all the way back in 1981.
