The Apprentice's Claude Littner delivers one word Twitter verdict to result as fans long for return

Claude Littner made his feelings clear on the result of this year's The Apprentice, taking to Twitter to deliver a one word verdict to Marnie Swindell's victory.

It's been a tough few years away from the cameras for Lord Sugar's trusted aude, after he was involved in a horrifying cycling accident, that led to him needing major surgery. His injuries forced him out of last year's show as he recovered at home, being replaced by The Apprentice winner Tim Campbell, the candidate who triumphed way back in series one.

BBC viewers were delighted to see Claude make a return to the show as the new series kicked off a few months ago; however, Claude's comeback proved to be short lived, as Tim once again came in to oversee the hopefuls alongside Karren Brady.

Claude promised concerned fans that he would be back for the much feared interviews episode and, true to his word, he was back on screen to give the final five a good grilling last week.

To the sadness of many of his admirers, Claude didn't play a part in the crucial finale, which saw Marnie take on Rochelle Anthony for Lord Sugar's investment. After both entrepreneurs made their final business pitch, with help from fired contestants, Lord Sugar chose boxing gym owner Marnie as his new business partner, with the result instantly becoming a big talking point online.

And Claude got right into the conversation. He shared a tweet from a viewer who contacted him to get his opinion on friend Lord Sugar's decision.

They tweeted: "Loved it, great series and Marnie smashed it out of the ring...loved the group dynamics this time around. Some good friendships created. Good luck Marnie"

Giving his firm seal of approval to the result with a short and sweet reply, Claude wrote back: "Absolutely."

Claude also took the time to thanks fans for their well wishes, as many of them told him how much they'd missed him on the show and how they hoped he'd eventually make a full time return.

Claude gave an encouraging update on his health, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain before The Apprentice launch this year, saying: "It was a freak accident. I think someone was looking out for me but if someone was looking out for me better, I wouldn't have had the accident. I was lucky to have the ambulance driving behind me."

"I am doing wonderfully well, thank you. I am very grateful to the ambulance crew for looking after me and of course the surgeons at St Mary's who put me back together."
