Fans of The Apprentice have all said the same thing after candidates rationed water for clients while hosting a party in the desert. Lord Alan Sugar sent the jet-setting contestants to Dubai this week to put on a corporate away day for high-flying clients.
But the teams experienced a series of disasters, forgetting dietary requirements for a luxury meal and leaving guests feeling slightly pecking afterwards. The two teams took polar approaches, with one heading for the glitz and glam while the other took a more traditional approach.
While team Apex offered a product with the best food, and best experience, their client asked for a 20% refund as they were unhappy with the food service offered. It left them with a £500 profit.
Ultimately however, it was enough to triumph over team Affinity who, while spending less, suffered badly at the hands of their client. A lack of luxuries resulted in a demand for a 60% refund.
Affinity's baffling decision to ration water was especially a flop with the client. Each person was offered two glasses of water and a juice each.

Lord Sugar said: "This is a disgrace. You got fixated on profit. On the face of it, it sounded like a good deal but they knocked you back 60%."
Lord Sugar's aide Karen Bradley added: "The most stupid thing on this task was Simba telling people their drinks are rationed. If that doesn't wind you up before its started, nothing will."
Viewers were left baffled by the decision to ration water. @dramabeatzz on Twitter said: "Honestly... Going to the desert and being told I could only have two glasses of water.. I'd ask for 100% refund"
@JakeHolyhead said: "Who’s limiting the amount of water they’re allowed to drink in the desert, flabbergasted." While @Sancherxo added: "lol imagine, middle of the desert and they’re rationing water?"
Ultimately, however, it was safari guide Joe Phillips who was fired by Lord Sugar for being in charge of "burnt" food. He added: "I have learnt so much from this process."
