It has been a long four years since Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel stood on the stage of the SSE Arena Belfast leaving fans wanting more.
Their highly anticipated return to Northern Ireland saw them welcomed with open arms on Monday night with the sold-out crowd losing their minds for the usual The 1975 antics.
The aptly named tour 'At Their Very Best' very much summed up the entire evening - the band were completely on form from the first note and the arena was held in the palm of their hands from that moment on.

The hype around this tour has been unlike any I had ever seen before, with Matty Healy appearing in every second video on my TikTok 'For You' page.
I was worried that after seeing so much about the show already and the constant The 1975 discourse that has taken over the internet over the last number of weeks that I would feel a sense of almost deja vu attending but I couldn't have been more wrong. The 1975 is a band everyone must experience with their own eyes at least once.
Despite the chaotic rock star ruggedness Matty Healy and the lads try to exude on stage, you could tell everything about they show had been maliciously thought about from the stage design to the set list to the smallest nuances throughout the performance.
Kicking it off with The 1975, the show truly began - the sitcom/ soap opera type entrances of the band into the house set up stage immediately sent the crowd wild.
The first half of the concert introduced the best of their newest album Being Funny In A Foreign Language with the likes of About You - despite not being as familiar with the newer stuff, the atmosphere inside the SSE completely combatted that.
I think if you didn’t know a single song you would have still had the time of your life. I knew anything involving Matty Healy would be a show but the theatrics and message of the whole performance was almost something out of a play and was unlike any other concert I’ve been to.
He then treated the final show of the tour to his classic vocoder moment which went viral on TikTok and had everyone screaming “don’t like menthols”.
After the Belfast crowd broke into a round of Ole Ole Ole (as we do at most concerts) Matty mentioned it happening at the Dublin gig last night but said he actually appreciated the enthusiasm and the unity that breaks out when we come together.
A lot of speculation was going on ahead of the gig as to whether there would be any special guest appearances after the likes of Taylor Swift and Lewis Capaldi on other dates.
Unfortunately, Belfast wasn’t graced with a celeb guest star on "The 1975 Show" but that in no way took away from the concert (as much as I would have loved to have seen Taylor Swift!)
Anyone lucky enough to be in the SSE tonight can agree that it was a show like none other and one we won’t be forgetting about for a long time.
