Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has turned IPL 2026 into his personal highlight reel, and on Thursday night he delivered another innings that left the cricketing world stunned. The Rajasthan Royals batter blazed his way to a jaw-dropping 97 off just 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator, powering RR into Qualifier 2 with a commanding 47-run victory.

The teenage sensation also went past Chris Gayle’s long-standing record for the most sixes in a single IPL season. Sooryavanshi now has 65 sixes this season, overtaking Gayle’s tally of 59 and adding yet another milestone to a breakout campaign that already feels historic.
