The Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026, held at The Ritz-Carlton in Bangkok, brought together government leaders, regulators, telecom operators, global technology companies, academic experts, and AIoT ecosystem partners to explore how artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things are reshaping the future of telecoms, smart living, and digital services.
Under the theme “AI for All”, the summit was jointly hosted by the Telecommunications Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage (TCT), T3 Technology, and Tuya Smart. The event highlighted Thailand’s growing role as a regional hub for AI-powered living, with a strong focus on practical AIoT deployment across homes, enterprises, buildings, and smart city environments.
The summit opened with welcome remarks from Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, President of TCT, who emphasised that the telecom industry is entering a new phase beyond connectivity. As AI and IoT become core infrastructure for the digital economy, he noted that the industry must work together to ensure these technologies are accessible, inclusive, and beneficial to society.
Following the welcome remarks,
Mr. Nick Wang, Founder and Chairman of T3 Technology and Vice-President of TCT, delivered the opening address. He shared T3’s vision for AI-powered living and emphasised that the true value of AIoT lies not simply in connecting more devices, but in enabling homes and services to understand people, respond to their needs, and deliver meaningful value in daily life.
As one of the summit’s co-hosts,
Mr. Leo Chen, President of Tuya Smart, then highlighted the importance of open AI cloud platforms and global developer ecosystems. He explained how Tuya’s platform capabilities can lower the barriers to AIoT development, helping brands, operators, and developers build intelligent products and solutions more efficiently.
As a distinguished guest of the summit, Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), delivered a special address. He underscored the importance of robust telecom infrastructure as the foundation for AIoT development, while also highlighting the need for a fair, secure, and innovation-friendly digital environment. As AI expands into homes, enterprises, healthcare, agriculture, industry, and smart cities, regulatory leadership and trusted data governance will play an increasingly critical role in supporting sustainable growth.
A launch ceremony was then held to officially mark the opening of the Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026, reinforcing the shared commitment of public and private sector stakeholders to accelerate AIoT innovation in Thailand and across the region.
In the morning session, Mr. Leo Yu, CEO of T3 Technology, delivered a presentation titled “T3 AIoT: Building the AI Living Infrastructure for Operators.” He explained how T3 is helping telecom operators move beyond traditional connectivity and build new service layers around AI Home, smart devices, home context, AI agents, and digital lifestyle services. This AI Living Infrastructure is designed to help operators become smart living platform providers in the AI era.
Mr. Will Yu, Chief Scientist of AI at Tuya Smart, further explored how generative AI, edge intelligence, and connected devices can work together to transform home devices into more intelligent and proactive service agents. His presentation showed how AIoT can create new user experiences while also improving service efficiency for operators and ecosystem partners.
The summit also featured insights from Mr. Julian Gorman, Head of APAC at GSMA, who discussed how 5G can unlock the consumer and SME smart economy, and from Prof. Wu Sai of Zhejiang University, who shared academic perspectives on AIoT system architecture and edge intelligence.
Telecom operators from Thailand and the region then shared their views on AIoT business opportunities.
Mr. Nuttawit Surittikul, Executive Vice-President of National Telecom Public Company Limited, discussed how AIoT can support new digital services and business growth. Mr. Ekaluk Prasurtkaew from AIS shared perspectives on AIoT ecosystem development for business, while Mr. Patchara Vanthongkam from True introduced his company’s digital home platform and its role in shaping the next generation of connected home experiences.
The morning session concluded with an MOU signing ceremony among True, VNPT, T3 Technology, and Tuya Smart, marking a strategic move to bring Hey Ami to Southeast Asia and reflecting the growing momentum for regional cooperation in AI Home and AIoT ecosystem development.
In the afternoon, guests joined a Lunch and Booth AI-Innovation Tour, followed by a live demonstration by
Mr. Rutchapol Sangsurichai, Head of AIoT Business Development at T3 Technology. The demo showcased practical AIoT applications in smart home control, intelligent device interaction, and AI-powered living services.
The afternoon keynote sessions continued with Dr. Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer at True, who shared the company’s perspective on how operators can leverage AIoT to expand both consumer and enterprise services. Speakers from regional operators, including Mr. Hoang Quoc Huy from VNPT Technology, Vietnam, and Mr. Nazri Bin Edham from Telekom Malaysia / unifi, also shared their respective strategies for AI Home, smart IoT, and regional service development.
Mr. Kevin Guo, Deputy CEO and Head of International Business at T3 Technology, introduced the Tino Living Model, a localised AI living model designed to support more telecom operators across markets. Built around voice, vision, context and services, the model aims to help operators deliver more natural, proactive, and locally relevant AI Home experiences.
A panel discussion titled “AI-Native Telcos: AI as the New Growth Frontier for Operators” brought together industry leaders to discuss how telecom operators can evolve from connectivity providers into AI-native service platforms. The discussion focused on new growth models, AI Home commercialisation, customer engagement, and the role of ecosystem partnerships.
