Texas Man Convicted in $26M Military Healthcare Fraud Scheme After Buying Gold-Plated Cybertruck

A Texas-licensed professional counsellor and clinic owner has been convicted for his role in a $26M scheme to defraud TRICARE, with prosecutors saying some of the proceeds paid for hotel stays, a casino-themed party, and a gold-plated Tesla Cybertruck.

Kevin D. Curry, 64, of Frisco, Texas, was found guilty by a federal jury in Fort Worth on Thursday, 24 September, of nine counts tied to health care fraud, illegal kickbacks, and engaging in monetary transactions in criminal-derived property, according to the US Department of Justice.
