The 2024 SEC football schedules released Wednesday night, and all eyes were on Texas and Oklahoma.
The two teams will leave the Big 12 conference after the 2023 season to join the SEC next year.
The Longhorns will start their season on Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. Colorado State. Their first SEC matchup will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Mississippi State at home. Texas will face Oklahoma the next week, and follow up with a game against powerhouse Georgia.
The rest of Texas’ SEC opponents include Vanderbilt, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky and Texas A&M, in that order.

Oklahoma will kick off its season on Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. nonconference opponent Temple. The Sooners’ first SEC matchup will take place on Sept. 21 vs. Tennessee at home. The team will then play against Auburn, Texas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Missouri, Alabama and LSU.
