Tesco warns shoppers not to eat biscuits as recall issued

Supermarket giant Tesco is urging shoppers to not eat a product after a health recall was issued. The store has recalled a batch of its own biscuits, with customers urged not to eat them.

Shoppers should instead return them to a store for a full refund, and no receipt is required. When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

On Friday (April 8), the FSA issued a warning about Tesco Free From digestive biscuits, Liverpool Echo reports. A statement on the FSA's website says: "This product may contain small pieces of metal which makes it unsafe to eat." The affected packages are 160g and with an end date of March 2023. No other date batches are affected.
