Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose and Sainsbury's issue urgent recall over popular snacks over allergy fears

Warp Snacks has recalled a range of its Lentil bites and Chips after it was discovered they may contain undeclared gluten. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Lidl and Waitrose have been forced to withdraw the items from their shelves following an alert from the Food Standards Agency.

The FSA warned customers that the snacks are a "possible health risk" to those with allergies or intolerances to gluten. People with coeliac disease are particularly at risk if they have purchased the affected products, reports the Express.

Advice issued by the agency stated: "If you have bought any of the above products and have coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten, do not eat them. Instead, please return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund."
