'Terraria' Weapon Guide: How To Get the Powerful Zenith Sword

This Terraria weapon guide shows players how they can craft their very own Zenith sword. (Credit: Steam, Re-Logic)

You have a lot of options for weapons in Terraria that you can either craft or loot, and that will help you deal with the variety of enemies you encounter in your adventure.

One of these items, and arguably one of the strongest in the game, is the powerful Zenith Sword that was added in the 1.4 update. On top of the new weapon, the patch also added a ton of new content, such as a Journey and Master mode and an in-game Bestiary.

But for players who are more concerned about the Zenith Sword, this guide provides all the details you need to know how you can get your hands on this amazing weapon. Note that getting this item is tedious, given just how strong it is.

How To Get the Zenith Sword

The method to crafting the Zenith Sword is by getting your hands on nine separate swords and using them to forge the former. These are Starfury, The Horseman's Blade, Star Wrath, Enchanted Sword, Influx Waver, Seedler, and Meowmere, according to Game Rant.

The remaining two swords you need must be crafted and are the Copper Shortsword and the Terra Blade. The recipe for the latter is different for consoles and PCs, so keep that in mind when you actually get to start making it.

Terra Blade

To craft the Terra Blade for consoles, you need the True Night's Edge, which uses a Night's Edge and a Broken Hero Sword, and the True Excalibur, which uses Excalibur with a Broken Hero Sword.

For PC players, you need the True Night's Edge by combining the Night's Edge with 20 Soul Fright, 20 Soul of Might, and 20 Soul of SIght at a Mythril or Orichalcum Forge.

The True Excalibur can be crafted by mixing the Excalibur with 24 Chlorophyte Bars at a Mythril or Orichalcum Forge.

Copper Shortsword

The Copper Shortsword is relatively easy to make as you just need to use seven Copper Bars at an Iron or Lead Anvil. The bars can be made using Copper Ore at a Furnace after finding them throughout the world.

Starfury

This particular sword can be found in floating islands, and it is recommended that gravitation potions be gathered in underground chests to easily get to these islands.

Enchanted Sword

The Enchanted Sword is only generated in shrines that are located in the outer two-thirds of a world's map. This weapon can be somewhat difficult to find as it is not a guaranteed spawn in some worlds, Hacker Noon said.

The Horseman's Blade

This particular weapon is found as a drop by Pumpking, which is a miniboss that can be encountered starting on wave 7 of the Pumpkin Moon event.

You need to craft the item to start the event using 30 Pumpkins, five Ectoplasm, and 10 Hallowed Bars at a hardmode Anvil.

Star Wrath

This weapon is acquired as a drop from the Moon Lord, which is Terraria's final boss. Despite coming from the last enemy in the game, the Star Wrath sword only has an 11% chance to drop every time.

Influx Waver

To get the Influx Waver sword, you need to participate in the "Martian Madness Event." You have an 11% chance to get this weapon as a drop from this event.

Seedler

Players can get this particular weapon by defeating Plantera enemies and hoping for that 14% chance of a drop. This requires you to farm quite a bit of enemies before you see the sword drop on the ground, according to Screen Rant.

Meowmere

The final weapon you need for the Zenith Sword is Meowmere, which can also be acquired at an 11.11% chance from the Moon Lord. This makes it another difficult item to get due to the difficulty of the boss.
