The University of Tennessee announced Sunday that its star QB and Heisman candidate Hendon Hooker was lost for the season after tearing his ACL.
The injury was suffered late in the fourth quarter of Tennessee’s loss to South Carolina in SEC play on Saturday.

Hooker is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks taken in the 2023 NFL draft.
Hooker suffered a non-contact injury as he tried to execute an option play.

He had thrown for 3,135 yards with 27 TDs against 2 interceptions.
