United States Attorney Kevin G. Ritz announced on Friday that Kyl Alton Hall, 37, from the Memphis area, has been indicted on charges related to threatening President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama.

A federal indictment returned on August 20, 2024, charged Hall with two counts of threatening a sitting President and Vice President in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 871(a), and one count of threatening a former President under Section 879(a)(1).

Each charge carries a potential penalty of up to five years in prison, according to the Department of Justice.
