Coach Josh Heupel has confirmed that quarterback Nico Iamaleava is expected to be available for No. 6 Tennessee's upcoming game against 11th-ranked Georgia on Saturday night. Iamaleava had to exit last week's game against Mississippi State in the first half after sustaining a hard hit from safety Isaac Smith. At the time of his departure, Iamaleava had completed 8 of 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, with the Vols holding a 20-7 lead. Backup quarterback Gaston Moore took over for Iamaleava for the remainder of the game.
Heupel provided an update on Iamaleava's status, mentioning that the quarterback had a positive day with the team on Monday. He expressed confidence that Iamaleava would be in good condition for the upcoming game against Georgia.
