Coach Josh Heupel has confirmed that quarterback Nico Iamaleava is expected to be available for No. 6 Tennessee's upcoming game against 11th-ranked Georgia on Saturday night. Iamaleava had to exit last week's game against Mississippi State in the first half after sustaining a hard hit from safety Isaac Smith. At the time of his departure, Iamaleava had completed 8 of 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, with the Vols holding a 20-7 lead. Backup quarterback Gaston Moore took over for Iamaleava for the remainder of the game.

Heupel provided an update on Iamaleava's status, mentioning that the quarterback had a positive day with the team on Monday. He expressed confidence that Iamaleava would be in good condition for the upcoming game against Georgia. He encouraged fans to stay tuned for the official injury report from the Southeastern Conference, which will be released on Wednesday.
