HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday threw his weight behind AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi stating that latter was only trying to become the face of Muslims in India.
“Except this, he has no other agenda I think. He is our brother, son of Telangana and a soldier. We are proud of his efforts to become the face of Muslims in India,” KCR said responding to media queries about AIMIM contesting UP polls.
Supporting Owaisi’s efforts, KCR said, “Let our brother shine. What is wrong in contesting elections in UP. The AIMIM had also contested in Bihar and Maharashtra and won a few seats. The CM also made it clear that none of the TRS leaders have so far gone and met any leaders of any political party in Uttar Pradesh.
