Telangana EamCET clocks 91% attendance on Day 1

HYDERABAD: Telangana EamCET-2022 engineering stream exams were held today and 91.4% students appeared for the examinations. The total number of candidates registered for Engineering stream are 1,72,241 and on Monday, 58,548 were slated to write these exams.

These exams which allow students to get into various professional courses in engineering stream under the JNT University are being held for three continuous days in a total of 89 centers in Telangana and 19 test centers in Andhra Pradesh where around 29,000 candidates will be taking the examination in each session of the examination.

According to officials the attendance of students from Andhra Pradesh was lower with only 77% appearing for the forenoon session and 78.9% appearing for the afternoon session on day 1. All together 11,977 were slated to write the entrance exam from AP on Monday.

From Telangana, 44,169 students wrote the exams on Monday. In Telangana, the lowest turnout was seen in Adilabad where only 88.9% students appeared for the exams. Flood battered Kothugudem saw 93.6% attendance.

According to students, morning paper was easy and formula based questions were in abundance and evening paper was tough and lengthy, prompting disappointment amongst students.

“The maths paper was extremely difficult and the sums were very lengthy to solve. Lot of trigonometry, complex numbers and straight line related questions were asked. The chemistry paper was easiest with many easy and direct questions asked. For Physics as always the paper was of moderate to difficult level. I could attempt around 70 questions in the given time,” shared an aspirant.

According to student’s around 110 will be a good cut off mark to qualify. “It will be better to start the paper with Chemistry, then go for Math and then go for Physics as we can answer more questions and get some score or the other,” added a student.
